This antique Jacobean style cabinet has been hand paint in “Juniper” (a muted green) and “Cashmere” (a rich creamy colour) Gold wax, clear wax and brown wax was added
I wanted to keep a classic or timeless designs on this antique piece. Adding the older masterpiece art works keeps it more period appropriate.
To compliment this piece a Johannes Vemeers “milk maid” painting from late 1600’s decoupage paper. On the bottom two drawers I used another decoupage paper called Still Life with Round Bottle by Anne Vallayer-Coster from mid 1700’s.
The hardware has been updated with Rust-Oleum Metallic Paint in “Rustic Mist” and dry brushed with gold gilding wax. The legs re-stained with Minwax gel stain In “Aged Oak” and the sides have been restyled with decor stencil called “Distressed Wallpaper”. Everything is sealed with clear topcoat.
This piece provides ample storage capacity to accommodate almost any room in your home.
Please note that this is one solid piece, it does not come apart into 2 pieces.

As with all my furniture I work hard at preserving the character and authenticity while maintaining a structurally sound and fully functioning piece of furniture. A lot of work goes into preparing every single piece before painting and my finishing techniques and materials are to the highest standard to ensure your piece will be enjoyed for many years to come.
